Wherever you go, there you are.

No one knows for sure who said the above but  when I first read the quote it seemed obvious and rather silly.

Then, the more I thought about it, the more profound it became.

It applies to more than to where you physically go, it also applies to where your thoughts go.

Wherever you go this year, there you are.

Yes indeed.

Be well, wherever you go.

My thanks to my friend John for passing on this message. Be present and happy in 2012.

In Search of Simplicity is a unique and awe-inspiring way to re-visit and even answer some of the gnawing questions we all intrinsically have about the meaning of life and our true, individual purpose on the planet. I love this book.”

In Search of Simplicity is one of those rare literary jewels with the ability to completely and simultaneously ingratiate itself into the mind, heart and soul of the reader.”

Here’s something I just found in the bowels of my documents that I probably received by email some time ago. It’s a cute little story.

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head. “Well,” she said, “I think I’ll braid my hair today?”  So she did and she had a wonderful day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.  “Hmm,” she said, “I think I’ll part my hair down the middle today?”  So she did and she had a grand day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed she had only one hair on her head. “Well,” she said, “Today I’m going to wear my hair in a ponytail.” So she did and she had a fun, fun day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn’t a single hair on her head. “YEAH!” she exclaimed, “I don’t have to fix my hair today!”

Attitude is everything.

Be kinder than necessary, for almost everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Live simply.

Love generously.

Care deeply,

Speak kindly.

Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning to dance in the rain.
