Unity for Mantram of Unification 030609

The following words are from the work of Alice Bailey and Djwhal Khul (the Tibetan). Repeat them daily. I say them while looking in the mirror early each morning. I have taken the liberty of adding ‘and daughters’ to the first line. You can choose to use that additon or not. May this world find peace.

Mantram of Unification

The sons (and daughters) of men are one & I am one with them.
I seek to love not hate. I seek to serve, not exact due service.
I seek to heal, not hurt.
Let pain bring just reward of light & love.
Let the soul control the outer form & life & all events
& bring to light the love which underlies the happenings of the time.
Let vision come and insight, let the future stand revealed.
Let inner union demonstrate & outer cleavages be gone.
Let love prevail. Let all men love.

Here is a true story from the 19th century – with a timeless message. The story is about a farmer who lived in Africa and through a visitor became tremendously excited about looking for diamonds. Diamonds were already discovered in abundance on the African continent and this farmer got so excited about the idea of millions of dollars worth of diamonds that he sold his farm to head out to the diamond line. He wandered all over the continent, as the years slipped by, constantly searching for diamonds, wealth, which he never found. Eventually he went completely broke and threw himself into a river and drowned.

Meanwhile, the new owner of his farm picked up an unusual looking rock about the size of a country egg and put it on his mantle as a sort of curiosity. A visitor stopped by and in viewing the rock practically went into terminal convulsions. He told the new owner of the farm that the funny looking rock on his mantle was about the biggest diamond that had ever been found. The new owner of the farm said, “Heck, the whole farm is covered with them” – and sure enough it was.

The farm turned out to be the Kimberly Diamond Mine…the richest diamond mine the world has ever known. The original farmer was literally standing on “Acres of Diamonds” until he sold his farm.

Each of us is right in the middle of our own “Acre of Diamonds”, if only we would realize it and develop the ground we are standing on before charging off in search of greener pastures.

“Opportunity does not just come along – it is there all the time – we just have to see it.”

Here’s something else that arrived in my inbox worth sharing. This one is from Brian Piergrossi. Look for the link at the end of the post.

On the surface of the world right now there is war and violence and things seem darkautumn-leaves

But calmly and quietly, at the same time, something else is happening underground

An inner revolution is taking place and certain individuals are being called to a higher light

It is a silent revolution

From the inside out

From the ground up

It is time for me to reveal myself

I am an embedded agent of a secret, undercover

Clandestine Global operation

A spiritual conspiracy

We have sleeper cells in every nation on the planet

You won’t see us on the T.V.

You won’t read about us in the newspaper

You won’t hear about us on the radio

We don’t seek any glory

We don’t wear any uniform

We come in all shapes and sizes

Colors and styles

Most of us work anonymously

We are quietly working behind the scenes in every country and culture of the world

Cities big and small, mountains and valleys, in farms and villages, tribes and remote islands

You could pass by one of us on the street and not even notice

We go undercover

We remain behind the scenes

It is of no concern to us who takes the final credit

But simply that the work gets done

Occasionally we spot each other in the street

We give a quiet nod and continue on our way so no one will notice

During the day many of us pretend we have normal jobs

But behind the false storefront at night is where the real work takes a place

Some call us the ‘Conscious Army’

We are slowly creating a new world with the power of our minds and hearts

We follow, with passion and joy

Our orders from the Central Command

The Spiritual Intelligence Agency

We are dropping soft, secret love bombs when no ones is looking

Kind words

Meditation and prayer

Social activism

Random acts of kindness

We each express ourselves in our own unique ways with our own unique gifts and talents

‘Be the change you want to see in the world’

That is the motto that fills our hearts

We know it is the only way real transformation takes place

We know that quietly and humbly we have the power of all the oceans combined

Our work is slow and meticulous

Like the formation of mountains

It is not even visible at first glance

And yet with it entire tectonic plates shall be moved in the centuries to come

Love is the new religion of the 21st century

You don’t have to be a highly educated person

Or have any exceptional knowledge to understand it

It comes from the intelligence of the heart

Embedded in the timeless evolutionary pulse of all human beings

Be the change you want to see in the world

Nobody else can do it for you

We are now recruitingthe-big-glow

Perhaps you will join us

Or already have….

All are welcome…

The door is open

Shahzad Rose

Shahzad Rose

I received the following story in my inbox early last year. I was touched and inspired and I duly forwarded it to a cadre of friends. Little did I know the implications this one simple act would have on my life.

The Rose

The first day of school our Professor introduced himself and challenged us to get to know someone we didn’t already know. I stood up to look around when a gentle hand touched my shoulder.

I turned around to find a wrinkled, little old lady beaming up at me with a smile that lit up her entire being.

She said, “Hi handsome. My name is Rose. I’m eighty-seven years old. Can I give you a hug?”

I laughed and enthusiastically responded, “Of course you may!” and she gave me a giant Squeeze.

“Why are you in college at such a young, innocent age?” I asked.

She jokingly replied, “I’m here to meet a rich husband, get married, and have a couple of kids.”

“No seriously,” I asked. I was curious what may have motivated her to be taking on this challenge at her age.

“I’ve always dreamed of having a college education and now I’m getting one!” she told me.

After class we walked to the student union building and shared a chocolate milkshake.

We became instant friends. Every day for the next three months, we would leave class together and talk nonstop. I was always mesmerized listening to this “time machine” as she shared her wisdom and experience with me. Over the course of the year, Rose became a campus icon and she easily made friends wherever she went. She loved to dress up and she reveled in the attention bestowed upon her from the other students. She was living it up.

At the end of the semester we invited Rose to speak at our football banquet. I’ll never forget what she taught us. She was introduced and stepped up to the podium. As she began to deliver her prepared speech, she dropped her three by five cards on the floor. Frustrated and a little embarrassed, she leaned into the microphone and simply said, “I’m sorry I’m so jittery. I gave up beer for Lent and this whiskey is killing me! I’ll never get my speech back in order so let me just tell you what I know.”

As we laughed she cleared her throat and began, “We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing. There are only four secrets to staying young, being happy, and achieving success. You have to laugh and find humor every day. You’ve got to have a dream.

“When you lose your dreams, you die. We have so many people walking around who are dead and don’t even know it! There is a huge difference between growing older and growing up. If you are nineteen years old and lie in bed for one full year and don’t do one productive thing, you will turn twenty years old. If I am eighty-seven years old and stay in bed for a year and never do anything I will turn eighty eight. Anybody can grow older. That doesn’t take any talent or ability. The idea is to grow up by always finding opportunity in change. Have no regrets. The elderly usually don’t have regrets for what we did, but rather for things we did not do. The only people who fear death are those with regrets.”

She concluded her speech by courageously singing The Rose.

She challenged each of us to study the lyrics and live them out in our daily lives.

At the year’s end Rose finished the college degree she had begun all those years ago.

One week after graduation Rose died peacefully in her sleep. Over two thousand college students attended her funeral in tribute to the wonderful woman who taught by example that it’s never too late to be all you can possibly be.

After receiving the story from me by email, a dear friend, Dave, living just a block away from us here in Coopers Beach, asked if I knew that the writer of the song, The Rose, named Amanda McBroom, had a vacation home in New Zealand. I replied that I’d not even heard of Amanda McBroom; I’d always associated The Rose with Bette Midler. Dave then informed me that Amanda’s vacation home was in Coopers Beach and that she and her husband visited once a year.

I immediately googled Amanda McBroom, found her website and contacted her agent about doing an interview with her the next time she visited New Zealand. Our discussions and the eventual interview are the subject of another blog found here.

The following words came to me a few mornings ago while listening to the track I’ve created a link for.

The Call to Awaken is Now.

There is something in the air. Can you feel it?

There is a message we’ve anticipated all of our lives. Can you hear it?

There is a message encoded in every strand of DNA, in every cell in our bodies, behind every thought and feeling.

The time has come to Awaken. The time has come for each of us to live the dreams we were born with, to fulfil our birth visions.

These are truly auspicious times. This is our time. This is our time to realize we are the angels, we are the ones we’ve been seeking all along.

Will you answer the Call to Awaken?

I recommend lying or sitting very comfortably when listening to the track. It is 14 minutes long.

The Mythic Call: A Mayan Prophecy

Awaken rainbow warriors, sun runners, luminous beings from the galactic alliances, federations and councils. Awaken ancient sky-walkers, newly formed in this moment. Stand in the beauty and power of your true identity as love’s gift to Gaia and set aside self-doubt. You are a divine child of the sun, go to where your heart draws you to share your great gifts. Surrender to the magic and the light. Remember, we sing and dance here for the one heart.

Once upon a time a galactic council was called and a mythic call was sent out to countless light-beings—the children of the sun, the angel-winged ones, the sun runners, the rainbow warriors and other luminous ones from many star systems.

The great circle of light beings gathered from far and wide. At the appointed nexus, the love of the spinning galaxies, the great spirit, entered, gracing them all with celestial light and the following words:

” You are invited to incarnate upon a world where a great transformation will take place…” began the love of the spinning galaxies…

“…..you who respond to this call will go to a place of planetary evolution where the illusions of fear and separation are strong teachers. I am calling those with the needed talents and gifts to act as my emissaries there, to lift and transform the frequencies of Planet Earth, simply by anchoring and embodying love’s presence there. With this myth you will be the creators of a new reality, the reality of the Golden Octave.

” On other journeys each of you has proven to be a feeling navigator, able to awaken your consciousness and align your heart to the promptings of pure love and compassionate service.

“As sun runners and torch bearers you have already demonstrated that you will hold the light high, and so I invite you to incarnate en masse among the tribes of Earth, to assist Gaia and all her children in their transformation.

“It is part of the plan that you will be veiled in forgetting.

“However, as you remember the feelings of childlike innocence and trust, you will become the harmonic leavening in this cycle of initiation for Earth.

You will incarnate strategically, often in some of the most vibrationally dense areas of the planet.

“To some this illusion of separation from love may create feelings of hopelessness,

lack of support and alienation. But, by embracing your humanness, your love will transform the depths of duality and your light will quicken the many.

“Your participation in this quest is purely voluntary. However, this transformational shift on Earth is very rare and precious. Should you choose to accept this mission, you will have the opportunity to catalyze and synthesize all that you have been through many incarnations, receiving a rarely offered quantum leap in consciousness. It is up to you how you will dance with Terra-Gaia, and her children, as she completes her ceremony of light.”

So spoke the Creator, the Light of the Spinning Galaxies, and so it was that luminous beings who formed the countless alliances, federations and councils of the faithful of the stars, chose to incarnate on Planet Earth to assist in this critical event, the awakening of the planetary dream.

There was even a fail-safe process built into the plan to awaken these beings from the illusion of separation and the veil of forgetfulness that is so rife upon Earth.

The luminous, who would journey to Gaia’s assistance, agreed to spark each others remembrance.

Thus these star-seeded ones were encoded in many ways, with sounds, colours, lights, images, words and symbols, a vibrational resonance that would assist them in remembering their commitment to the light.

It was agreed that these coded clues would appear everywhere, in visionary art, in music, in penetrating looks, in speech and feelings, all creating a deep yearning to awaken and to become the embodiment of light and love.

So it is, that you the children of the sun are being bathed in the waters of remembrance, prepared as the rainbow warriors of the new and ancient myth.

By slowly anchoring love’s presence on the Earth, you lovingly draw down the mantle of the gods, sending waves of love throughout Gaia’s energy receptive body.

As you emerge in this time, your gifts awaken and empower others.

Utilizing the tools of laughter, song, dance, humor, joy, trust and love, you are creating the powerful surge of transformation that will transform the limitations of the old myth of futility and separation, birthing the miracle of love and unity on Earth.

Utilize your gifts on behalf of Gaia, and her children will ascend in robes of light, forming a luminous light body of love, to be reborn among the stars.

The Mythic Call has been sounded. The great quest has begun.

Vietnamese Women and Flowers

Vietnamese Women and Flowers

In December of 2007, I met a couple on the beach I hadn’t seen for many months. I asked where they had been and they told me Vietnam. I asked if there were any visible memories of the war that had been fought there in the 1960s and 1970s. They said the aftermath of the war was obvious. Many people were missing limbs from encounters with land mines. Some children were using metal detectors to search for shards of scrap metal in an attempt to earn money. People continue to die each year when they happen upon unexploded mines.

The jungle where the defoliant, Agent Orange, was sprayed has not properly re-grown. Even after over thirty years it remains stunted scrub, rather than regenerating into the vigorous and verdant jungle it had been before.

Yet, despite this devastation, there remains hope. In an attempt to kick start forestation, there are massive tree planting programmes underway using hardy, fast growing species such as Australian eucalypts. Vietnam is a young country. Something like 60% of the population has been born since the war ended in 1973. Despite pervasive poverty, most Vietnamese seem to hold no animosity towards the Americans and other foreigners who contributed to such destruction on their soil.

I asked this elderly New Zealand couple why they went to Vietnam. They replied that they lived a comfortable life in this beautiful country and they felt it was too easy to become complacent and insular. They wanted to see for themselves that some people don’t have it as good as we do.

I have friends who are Christians and Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews and Baha’is. I have friends whose unspoken religion is their deep connection with nature.

Wouldn’t it be appropriate that at this time in which many celebrate the birth of one of the greatest teachers this world has known that we take time to reflect on that which unites, rather than separates us? We are each a special son or daughter of a mother and a father. We each have a beating heart, and deep within each of these beating hearts is, I believe, a similar wish and that wish is for peace.

Blessings to you all this holiday season.
