Hello Dilmohan,
It is so touching to hear from you. I couldn't remember your name so I made one up. I hope you don't mind, but I had no way of tracking you down. Once again I wish to thank you for getting me on that flight. It does make for a good story, don't you think? Where do you live now and what are you doing? Have you been back to Kashmir?

All the very best to you.

Sat Nam,

Hi John,

Read your hijacking experience excerpt...relived the experience minute by minute .....you refer a person as Chan who helped you ..are you sure that was his name...as i remember helping someone from canada to get a ticket and sitting next to him apologizing that i got him on the plane..the army personal was sitting couple of rows in front of us and yes it was a wooden walking cane which came on his head and not an iron rod and i still remember him screaming in pain. the way you described the scenario and the conversations and clarifications it sounds as if it was me sitting next to you in the window seat wearing a white turban.......after landing in lahore they made me open the window where as everybody else was asked to close theirs......

best wishes

Hello Ines,
Great to hear from you. I know who you are. It was lovely to share Dances of Peace with you and the others at Opua some months ago. The plant you're asking about is Orach. The radio station is DBFR in Doubtless Bay that broadcasts from Kaeo to the Cape, so you won't get it. But you can listen to many of my shows on this website. Just go to My Radio Shows or scroll through the posts.

Dear John,
Have finally read my "Farming News" today and was very pleased not to have thrown it out unread, because I found your article and website.
We have met in the past during chanting get togethers but lately during the dances of peace in Opua. I am a friend of Glenys and Don, like you. Last time they spend time with you, they returned with a "Fat Hen" plant, which I had no idea could be eaten. We are eating lots of it now. She brought another plant, which looks similar in shape, but has bright red/pink marks in the forks and where the new leaves form. I saw this one during our last Koanga visit, but forgot to ask what it is. Since Glenys got it from you, I thought you could tell me something about it.
What is the radio station that you host on? Do we get it in Russell?
Will get your books too!
Looking forward to hearing from you
Love and hug
