I’m excited to share an excerpt of the magically slowed down sound of crickets. I play the extended version (about 30 minutes) with participants in most of my sound workshops. This is really the sound of crickets!
Enjoy, John

John, where can we get the extended version? If you have that info here sorry if I just didn’t see it. Thank you!! Robin PS I just LOVE this.
PS Again –
I have done work with sound and used to facilitate a women’s group (and work with individuals) using sound. Fascinated by sound. Used to hear it in the rainforest, and I do not just mean bird songs, rattle of palm frond. wind, and croak of frog. I am talking another type of sound. I heard it everywhere, from trees, Earth, stars, I started to dream music when I lived in the rainforest, and I’d had no training. I am writing about it in my second book.
Have you ever heard the sounds that were recorded in deep space and sent back to Earth. They are often almost identical to these slowed down crickets. This is also the sound I often heard trees give off.
Life is intensely beautiful and so…..alive.
Thank you again for sharing this.
Robin

Hello Robin,
I really don’t know where to get the extended version.
As for the sounds recorded in deep space. Now, these are sounds that haven’t yet crossed my path, but I will listen for them. Your rainforest experiences justify the need for many of us to spend significant quality time in nature. Outer nature stirs our inner nature. Keep writing and sharing, Robin.

I too sometimes hear this same sort of choir – sometimes in nature and sometimes even from the everyday sounds in my house. Sometimes it is a boys choir and sometimes more filled out. It must be a universal sort of sound that we sometimes just vibrate to.

Hi Trish,
Cricket’s are one of the acknowledged series of inner sounds. You’re obviously attending to more than just outer sounds. Thanks so much for commenting. John

Hi John~
I am a film student at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia, and I’m looking to create a short film on this same magical topic.
Was it you who first made the recording? I would love to talk with the person(s?) who came up with the plan. I heard something about a group in North Carolina.
It would be great to hear from you!
Thanks for your time.
Namaste

Hi Krista,
I’m not the first to make the recording. I’m just one of many who have benefitted from this stunning recording. I wish I could tell you more. Frankly, I’d love to hear where the original recording is available if you find out.
Success with your film project.
John
